AM Session (5 - 11yrs)
Knockhall Primary School
The morning session offers free play for the children to participate in. Activities could include colouring, cutting & sticking, role play, puzzles, and board games. Activities change daily to ensure the children are engaged by following their interests. At 8.20 am the children participate in the ti …moredying up routine before school. The children then line up in their year groups and classes. The staff members will escort the children to the KS2 playground where years 3, 4, 5 and 6 are taken to line up in their class. Years 1 and 2 are then taken to join their classes on the KS1 playground and finally the Nursery and Reception classes are escorted to the EYFS playground to their classrooms ensuring they are safely in the school's care. Breakfast is served from 7 am to 8.15 am an option of cereals, toast & spreads, milk, or water will be available. less

All children are collected for 3.00pm onwards. A staff member is assigned to each of the KS1 and EYFS year groups and they go to each classroom to collect the children. The KS2 children have a meeting point with our staff members outside the canteen. The children are then taken to the school club wh …moreere they will participate in a 20-minute session of homework/reading time. Once this is done the fun can begin! At 3.45pm the children can participate in planned activities and free play. These activities are available throughout the evening and change daily in line with our yearly planning. Activities include quizzes, painting, sports games, group games, dancing, den building, movies, dressing up, arts, crafts and much more. In the afternoons, the children have access to our outdoor area, there is a selection of scooters, balls, skipping ropes, climbing frame, swing balls and more. less
